PRESTO W55: The New Power Package for Fast Temperature Changes

Whether reactor temperature control, material stress tests or temperature simulation - the new process circulator PRESTO W55 regulates temperatures with high precision and ensures fast temperature changes.
The power package offers a cooling capacity of 15 kW at 20°C and a heating capacity 15 kW with a working temperature range of -55 to + 250°C. The process circulator regulates temperatures with high precision and ensures even faster temperature changes with temperature stability of up to +- 0.05°C. The PRESTO W55 compensates for exothermic and endothermic reactions even faster with the help of highly efficient components. A continuously monitored pressure build-up protects applications and investments. Permanent internal monitoring and self-lubricating pumps ensure a long life-time.
The integrated 5.7-inch industry-grade touch panel provides a clear and concise presentation of all vital information and thus increases the functionality. The devices work very quietly according to their size and performance, and even higher room temperatures up to +40°C do not make the new PRESTO work up a sweat. Numerous interfaces permit new remote control possibilities across networks and in superordinate control systems. Free side panels without vents reduce the required footprint to a minimum.
Safe handling
The closed loop circuit prevents the bath fluid from coming into contact with the ambient air. Temperature-related volume changes in the heat exchanger are compensated by an internal expansion vessel. The vessel discharges the excess fluid via an overflow. Due to the separate cooling of the expansion vessel, the temperature control instrument itself does not heat up too much so that there is no risk of injury for the user. The filling opening on the top of the device is easily accessible for easy and safe filling.
High service and support quality

In the case of an error, the Easy BlackBox remote diagnosis software enables quick error reconstruction by the JULABO service team.
Temperature stress simulation
In some industries, power electronics components are used in applications where electrical energy is generated, converted, or switched. Due to natural temperature fluctuations, mechanical stresses occur in daily operation, which, for example, can lead to cracks on the chips or fatigue of the soldered connection points of the electronic components. Extensive tests are necessary during design and functional testing to guarantee a consistent quality of the installed components over the years.
PRESTO process circulators are used, for example, in the simulation of temperature fluctuations for life-time tests of finished power modules. The modules are subjected to alternating thermal stresses via cooling plates to estimate their life-time. The mechanical errors occurring as a result of the stress are analysed next.
