Ingenious PRESTO® Accessory
JULABO features an ingenious accessory for the new PRESTO® generation: the VFCpro for flow measurement and control.
JULABO features an ingenious accessory for the new PRESTO®. With the VFCpro the PRESTO® user can measure and control the flow within the loop circuit. A defined flow rate can be kept constant while simultaneously controlling the temperature. Example: the user can determine the flow rate of the bath liquid of a jacketed reactor.
The VFCpro is designed as a ready-for-connection accessory with two different versions: the VFCpro-24 with M24x1.5 connections and the VFCpro-38 with M38x1.5 connections. For users who wish to integrate the flow measurement unit into a plant application JULABO offers a VFC installation version. The VFCpro can be used with all PRESTO® models A40 and/or W40 upward in a temperature range from -100 °C to +300°C. The maximum flow rate is 50 l/min for the VFCpro-24 and 100 l/min for the VFCpro-38. This makes the flow measurement ideal for scientific and industrial applications.
Together with a PRESTO® the VFCpro can be used for the approximate determination of calorimetric values, e.g. during an analysis of heat volumes or scale-ups from laboratory to kilo or production scale. The measured values are directly shown on the PRESTO® display and can be evaluated with available software: EasyTEMP® Professional by JULABO. The VFCpro achieves accuracies of up to 6% and is an economic calorimetric alternative especially in cases where the purchase of a precision calorimeter is prohibitied.
