Workstation For Hypoxia Research
Sep 16 2009
Developed in conjunction with leading cell biologists, the new Whitley H85 Hypoxystation from Don Whitley Scientific is specifically designed for hypoxia and anoxia research applications. Accurate control of
oxygen and carbon dioxide allows researchers to replicate in vivo conditions and manipulate cells without altering the incubation environment.
Continuously monitored, the oxygen and carbon dioxide levels are tightly controlled without the need for an external gas mixer. In addition to extremely accurate gas control, temperature and humidity levels can also
be regulated and there is also a refrigeration unit available as an option. The H85 Hypoxystation benefits from a full-colour intuitive touch screen display for control of all workstation parameters.
Patented remote-controlled motorised glove ports permit bare-hand or gloved working and each port can also act as a small airlock for rapid sample transfer. Equipment and bulk samples can be conveniently transferred using the integrated 30 litre airlock that utilises nitrogen flushing to preserve the workstation environment. Ergonomically designed, the main incubation chamber is constructed from annealed acrylic and provides a generous working area.
