Next Generation Digital Density Meters Redefine Density Measurement
Oct 17 2019
Thanks to Anton Paar’s latest innovation - the patented Pulsed Excitation Method - the company’s digital density meters have set new benchmarks in terms of repeatability and reproducibility. The top of the line and unrivalled DMA 5000 M is the most precise digital density meter you can get.
The new patented Pulsed Excitation Method (PEM) gains three times more information from the U-Tube’s oscillation characteristics compared to conventional methods. This allows Anton Paar to guarantee unparalleled repeatability and reproducibility for most accurate density values up to the 7th digit across the entire temperature range, and makes DMA 5000 M ideal for high-end R&D applications, authorities as well as standards organisations.
Due to PEM the influence of viscosity is compensated twice as effectively as ever before across the entire viscosity range of samples. Even for Newtonian fluids, PEM delivers the viscosity in addition to the density value with an accuracy of 5% in the range from 10 mPa·s to 3,000 mPa·s.
The U-View™ camera feature displays and stores pin-sharp images of the entire oscillating U-tube sensor and the filled-in sample, so you have the details at hand at any time. The combination of U-View™ and the automatic real-time bubble detection function - FillingCheck™ - monitors the entire measurement sequence and allows later verification of the results, which is particularly useful when using automatic sampling systems.
The DMA M series provides stable readings over extended periods of time. After just one adjustment at 20°C you can change sampling temperatures quickly between 0°C and 100°C whenever needed and rely on immediate temperature stability.
