New Density Meters Offered With Free 2-week Test Trial

May 10 2019

As with many areas of technology, the digital density meter has evolved since it was first launched by Anton Paar in the 1960s. Now Anton Paar has completely redefined density measurement by rethinking the fundamental measuring principle.

The new portfolio of density meters uses the Pulsed Excitation Method (PEM), which results in viscosity correction which is twice as effective and delivers the highest precision in the 3-digit and 4-digit category and up to the 7th digit. The Pulsed Excitation Method provides unmatched sensitivity in the measurement. For more information on the benefits of PEM, see here. The measuring cell design guarantees stable results unaffected by external influences such as frequently changing users with different filling styles. The instrument monitors the condition of the measuring cell itself and issues a warning in case of potential measuring errors. The latest generation even warns you when the humidity and ambient temperature are not optimal and gives recommendations on how to ensure the maximum lifetime of the density meter.

As part of the portfolio launch, Anton Paar is offering a free 2-week test trial with no obligation to buy. This offer covers the portable density meter DMA 35 with 3-digit accuracy and gesture control, and the benchtop density meters DMA 1001 and DMA 501. Both benchtop devices are suitable for quality checks in the laboratory or near the production line, even if the sample characteristics are challenging. Pasty, inhomogeneous, sedimenting, particle-containing samples, and even aerosol sprays can all be measured. In addition, the 4-digit DMA 1001 device provides full compliance with the important industry standards ASTM D4052, ASTM D5002, and Pharmacopoeia USP <841>, Ph. Eur. 2.25, JP 17 2.56, and fulfils all requirements of FDA CFR 21 Part 11. Its unique one-point adjustment directly at the measurement temperature ensures a quick startup. For more information on the pharma compliance and other features of DMA 1001, watch this video.
