Monowave 300 Microwave Reactor System

The Anton Paar MonowaveÔ 300 monomode microwave reactor opens up pathways to completely new reaction routes in small-scale applications.

In addition to unique temperature and pressure limits (300°C and 30 bar) it offers simultaneous IR and fibre optic temperature control for accurate reaction monitoring and safe process control.  An extremely high field density ensures reproducible and outstanding heating rates (up to 9°C/sec) in any scale and for any solvent, including non-polar solvents and thus negating the need for any kind of heating elements.  The built-in high performance stirrer ensures homogeneous distribution and thus provides further enhanced reaction rates.  Three different vials (4mL–30mL) allow for a small-range scale up, and easy-to-handle, durable caps and silicon seals assure reduced cost of consumables.

The MAS 24 Autosampler provides reliable unattended sequential operation.  Up to 24 vials of varying sizes are easily queued and processed.  The MAS 24 Autosampler is fixed on top of the MonowaveÔ 300 thus negating the need for additional labspace.

The MonowaveÔ 300 has been designed and programmed in order to ensure maximum convenience to the user.  The integrated, coloured LCD touch screen enables easy and intuitive software navigation for ‘on-the-fly’ control or reaction parameters.  Documentation is possible at a push of a button as well as in situ printing of pdf reports.

Several built-in connections facilitate the implementation of MonowaveÔ 300 in a laboratories network system.  Besides the Windows-based embedded PC with touch screen interface, the instrument features two USB ports, an Ethernet LAN connection and serial connectors for the ruby-crystal based fibre optic and a scheduled auto sampler upgrade.

The combination of highest safety standards, utmost accuracy, impressive performance and handling convenience make the MonowaveÔ 300 a powerful tool for microwave- assisted synthesis.
