Viscosity Standards Now Come With Expiration Date
Mar 11 2013
Best industry practice recommends that calibration materials be replaced on a scheduled basis. In response to customer input, Brookfield has now added an expiration date to their silicone viscosity standards used to perform calibration checks on viscometers and rheometers. This new information appears on the jar label as well as on the certificate of calibration that comes with the fluid. Lab managers will now have a firm date for reordering replacement fluids.
Silicone Viscosity Standards provide operators with a convenient, reliable way to verify the calibration of their Brookfield rotational Viscometers/Rheometers. They are accurate to ±1% and offer excellent temperature stability. They are Newtonian and are available in either silicone or oil. Special viscosity values and temperature calibrations are available upon request.
In an effort to further support their customers, Brookfield offers several informative Calibration Training Videos and a free Calibration Template at www.brookfieldengineering.com/support. The Calibration Template allows operators to analyse calibration test results based on test fluid, spindle selection and rotational speed.
