AchemAsia 2025: Driving sustainable innovation in the process industry
Nov 07 2024
AchemAsia returns to Shanghai from 14 to 16 October 2025, bringing together the leading technologies and innovations for the Chinese process industry, as well as the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. As the ‘International Expo and Innovation Forum for Sustainable Chemical Production’, AchemAsia will spotlight cutting-edge solutions aimed at a climate-neutral future. The event will focus on advancements in process and pharmaceutical technology, digitalisation (especially AI and robotics), and the rapid development of hydrogen-based processes to support China’s growing hydrogen economy.
Launched in 1989 as a sister event to ACHEMA, AchemAsia was created to serve the needs of China’s emerging industries. Today, it attracts over 400 exhibitors from more than 20 countries, establishing itself as a central hub for exchanging knowledge and exploring technologies relevant to the process industry across China, Asia, and beyond. Exhibitors will have access to both individual exhibition spaces and a dedicated German Pavilion - an initiative sponsored by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection to support German companies at the event. Exhibitor registration is now open.
"Following the success of ACHEMA 2024, we are thrilled to return to Shanghai in 2025 with AchemAsia," said Dr Björn Mathes, Managing Director of DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH, the event organiser. "On site in China, we will provide the global process engineering community with a prime platform, focusing on the world’s largest production hub for chemical and pharmaceutical products."
AchemAsia offers experts from across Asia and around the world a collaborative space to exchange ideas and solutions for a sustainable industry. The event will include a congress organised by DECHEMA in partnership with regional and international organisations, featuring satellite events linked to ACHEMA’s core innovation themes: Process, Pharma, Digital, Lab, Green, and Hydrogen. The congress will also emphasise the growth and challenges of the Chinese process industry, ensuring high relevance for attendees active in or interested in the Chinese market.
