Leadership roles Pivotal to Strategy Implementation

TechBio company Closed Loop Medicine a developer of combination prescription drugs and software therapy products for personalised dose optimisation, has appointed Konstantinos Vlassis as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He will oversee the management of the Company’s technology platforms with responsibility for engineering, information security and technology infrastructure.

With more than 20 years of experience in building high performance agile teams he will play a pivotal role in leading the company’s engineering team and facilitating cross-functional collaboration, while working to meet business goals and growth.

His previous work roles have included the creation of scalable high-transaction platforms, re-architected legacy applications to Service Oriented Architecture and refactored solutions from different programming languages to deliver B2B and B2C products in healthcare, market research and data companies.

In his former role as CTO at Medis Medical Imaging he established a full agile continuous integration and delivery process, while initiating a major digital transformation of the company’s products incorporating AI/ML tools.

His appointment follows the recent addition to the company of Kate Woolland as Chief Operating Officer, who will guide organisational and operational delivery of Closed Loop’s lead programs, products and commercial partnerships. She has extensive strategic business experience including over 13 years in healthcare and in her previous role as Chief Delivery Officer at ieso Digital Health led product, design, clinical trial operations, commercial, regulatory and program management functions.
