Fluorescent labelling kits for flow cytometry and western blots
Jan 29 2025
The new TrailBlazer Tag and TrailBlazer StarBright Dye Label Kits from Bio-Rad Laboratories provide researchers with a streamlined method to conjugate antibodies with high-performance fluorescent dyes for use in flow cytometry and western blotting. These kits offer broad antibody compatibility, exceptional fluorescence stability, and easy integration into multiplex experiments.
The system features two components: a tagging module and a dye labelling kit. Utilising SpyTag and SpyCatcher technology, researchers can efficiently link their antibodies to a selection of TrailBlazer StarBright fluorescent dyes, enabling the creation of customised high-plex panels for flow cytometry and multiplexed fluorescent western blots.
“These kits are designed to provide greater flexibility in experimental design, with multiple fluorescent dye options and seamless antibody labelling,” said Hilary Mavor, Marketing Director, Life Science Group. “With a simple workflow and minimal hands-on time, users can achieve consistent, high-quality conjugated antibodies with superior fluorescence.”
TrailBlazer StarBright Dyes deliver exceptional brightness, narrow excitation and emission profiles, and strong signal stability, ensuring precise resolution of target populations. They are compatible with standard flow cytometers and imaging systems, without requiring special buffers or modifications to existing protocols.
For researchers looking to expand their fluorescence-based experimental capabilities, the TrailBlazer Tag and TrailBlazer StarBright Dye Label Kits offer an accessible and efficient solution for generating custom-labelled antibodies.
