Jan 06 2010
Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc has introduced its Thermo Scientific Heraeus three-litre general purpose centrifuge series. The Thermo Scientific Heraeus Megafuge 40 centrifuge series provides industry-leading capacity and ergonomics for routine sample preparations. The Thermo Scientific Heraeus Multifuge X3 centrifuges incorporate market-leading technology for unsurpassed highthroughput processing. With a compact and user-friendly design, both centrifuge lines combine energy efficiency with innovation for high-quality result.
Both the Heraeus® Megafuge® 40 and the Heraeus Multifuge® X3 lines feature the Auto-Lock® III rotor system, which enables five second rotor installation and removal for fast switching between applications. Operation is further simplified with the ClickSeal® bucket sealing system, eliminating screw caps and complicated clips with a glovefriendly, one-handed open/close capability. With advanced rotor management SMARTSpin® technology, acceleration, braking, temperature control and load balance is optimised for smooth runs and reproducible data. The user-friendly, backlit interface provides detailed information on a wide range of operating parameters and the dedicated fast-keys enable immediate access to frequently used programmes.
In addition, the comprehensive control panel of the Heraeus Multifuge X3 centrifuge features a numeric keypad for immediate parameter entry, simultaneous display of both set and actual running parameters and double temperature and dual timing control. The high-performance of the Heraeus Multifuge X3 centrifuge is further maximised by the speed, versatility and corrosion-resistant design of the broad range of Fiberlite carbon fibre rotors
