50 Years in the Analytical Instrument Marketplace

This year Jasco celebrates its 50th anniversary in the analytical instrumentation market. Founded in 1958 by a group of researchers at the Institute of Optics of Tsukuba University, the company has gone from a small, local company to a global corporation now located in over 57 countries. Today, JASCO manufactures both spectroscopy and chromatography instruments and continues to meet the needs of its customers with quality products and a pro-active service and support team. The company’s line-up of products includes: UV-Vis/NIR, Dispersive Raman, FT-Raman, FT-IR, Polarimetry, Fluorescence, Circular Dichroism (CD), Dissolution, NSOM, HPLC, SFC/SFE, and Extreme Speed X-LC®

Over the years Jasco have achieved many milestones. Some of these can be seen here below:

1958 : DS-101 is first JASCO’s Prism Infrared Spectrophotometer
1962 : CD and ORD measurements introduced
1971 : UV-Vis spectrophotometers with digital readout
1972 : UVIDEC-100 world's first variable wavelength UV-Vis HPLC detector
1976 : Tri-Rotar world's first single-pump low-pressure mixing gradient system
1985 : Supercritical Fluid Chromatography introduced
1987 : LC-800 HPLC module series with individual microprocessor control
1997 : Spectra Manager is JASCO's unique Cross-Platform Software
2005 : Introduction of X-LC® Extreme Speed LC
2007 : Latest product enrichment with P-2000 Multi-option polarimeter and Preparative SFC
