New ADP440+ Polarimeter offers Optimum Measurement Performance for Pharmaceutical Applications and Benefits from RFID Rapid User Clearance

Following the introduction of RFID technology in the RFM900 series of refractometers in 2009, Bellingham + Stanley has now applied the same technology to its top-end polarimeter – the newly named
ADP440+ Polarimeter.

The ADP440+ is a single wavelength, high accuracy polarimeter capable of displaying results to 3-decimal place resolution and is most suitable for use in laboratories where compliance with Pharmacopoeia is required.

The instrument has both angular and sugar scales (ISS) and can be programmed using a methods system to provide user scales as well as industry standard methods for displaying concentration, % inversion and specific rotation directly.

Data handling is in accordance with GLP and may also be configured in accordance with the technical requirements of FDA regulation – 21 CFR Part 11.

The latest feature of RFID is particularly beneficial where a number of different operators use the instrument in a controlled environment such as those working to GLP or FDA regulations, where a long PIN would normally be input via the keypad for clearance and recording purposes.

RFID tags store personal access data and with the simple swipe of a tag across the instrument housing, the user is verified and given the applicable access rights.
