Recognising success and progress across our industry in 2025
The Labmate Awards for Excellence 2025 seek to recognise innovation, quality and achievement wherever it occurs within the laboratory sector.
Launching this year the Labmate Awards for Excellence 2025 will have eleven voting categories chosen to reflect the broad range of noteworthy contributions that have been made across our industry in the past 12 months.
Please nominate your candidates entries from these eleven categories. (You can submit an entry in more than one category)
- Innovation of the Year for a product or service
- Best supplier and end-user partnership
- Best customer service
- Best marketing campaign
- Best IT solution
- Best sustainability initiative – the GreenLab Award
- Best lab safety product or solution
- Best bench top innovation
- Best separation science innovation
- Best portable technology product
- Best imaging or optics
In addition to the nominated entries, which will be subject to voting, there will also be another award whose winner will be selected by the Labmate Awards for Excellence 2025 judging panel:
- Michael Pattison Award for Overall Winner of the Year 2025
How the Awards process will run
Each entry submission will be evaluated by a Labmate Awards for Excellence 2025 judging panel to select a shortlist of finalists that will then be opened up to the popular vote of Labmate's readers, contributors and partners.
Important dates for your diary in the Labmate Awards for Excellence 2025 are:
- The nomination period will close on 17 April
- The shortlist of finalists will be announced on 6 May
- Voting opens on 12 May
- Voting closes on 16 June
- Winners announced on 30 June
- The Labmate Awards for Excellence 2025 will be presented during the Solutions in Science conference, Brighton, UK, on 16 July 2025

Nomination form
Please complete the form below for each of the categories in which you want to enter a nomination.
In the form, please start with your email, name and organisation, and so on, before you then select the category option from the dropdown menu and enter the nominee's name and details, and upload any images or supporting information.
Photographs, in particular, will be useful when we publish the list of finalists.
You will need to enter your details for each of the category entries please. If you are using a browser such as Google Chrome your personal details should self-populate on the second occasion.
It is a requirement of the Labmate Awards for Excellence 2025 competition for International Labmate Limited to have a complete record of each nomination alongside the person who has made that entry.
Rules of entry
The winners of the Labmate Awards for Excellence 2025 will be decided through an initial process of shortlisting by a Labmate Awards for Excellence judging panel, and the finalists will be put forward to voting by Labmate's readers, contributors and partners.
All International Labmate Limited decisions are final.
- All contact details must be fully completed for your Labmate Awards for Excellence 2025 entry to be validated.
- Any entry submitted after the deadline date of 23.59hrs on 17 April, 2025 will not be accepted into the competion.
